Sinda Lee Johnson, 51, passed away on November 5, 2025. She was born November 8, 1973, to Ronnie Johnson and Kristi Johnson Barker and Georgan Howe. She graduated from Mt. Zion High School in 1991. She earned her degree in Nursing and worked as a nurse.

She had a huge heart for people, she would help the ones who were in need, and she would save someone’s life.

She attended First Christian Church in Decatur and loved the song Goodness of God. She was in a pool league since 2019 and played fast pitch softball.

Sinda was preceded in death by her parents Kristie Johnson Barker and Ronnie Johnson. She leaves behind her kids Dominick Brown, Collin Johnson, Mackensie Johnson and bonus kids Breonna Quinn and Leaum Quinn along with her partner Trey Quinn, biological mother Georgan Howe, siblings Shanon Miller, Elisha Brownlow and Chad Johnson and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on November 20th at First Christian Church at 10am. The funeral will follow at 11am.

Sinda, I am so sad to hear this and so sorry that I didn’t reach out over the years. I wish I would have and will regret not doing so. We had so many good times in our 20’s. Your children are beautiful and I am praying for them and your loved ones. I know you are up there singing, probably some Reba. ❤️

Sinda, I wouldn’t be who I am without you. You were my roommate in college, and maaaaan. We had fun. You were my heart, a fiercely loyal friend, and one of the best and most compassionate nurses I had the good fortune to work with and learn from. To Don, Collin, and Mackenzie…..do not let her passing stop you from achieving your dreams. It is the best way to honor her. She LOVED YOU unlike any mother. We are all better because we knew her and loved her.

To Dominick, Trey, Collin, Mackensie, and Leaum, Our family continues to pray for each of you as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death. We wish so much that we could be with you in person to mourn with you and we wish we could be present for the visitation and funeral. We will take time in Kenya on Saturday to pray for you. We love you all. May the peace of Christ wash over you and may you find comfort in His presence.

So sorry for the loss of this wonderful lady! We played softball together, laughed and made memories in school. You will be missed and my heart reaches out you your loved ones! Prayers are being sent! We were all blessed to know her and have her as a part of our lives!! Her memory will live on!! Rest in peace my friend!!

Sinda my heart is so broken. I miss you so much my friend. Pool will not be the same. Who will I show out with on Tuesdays and Wednesdays lol? You watch over us up there and I will keep Trey in line down here. 😊 I love you❤️❤️

We were terrible together growing up and man did mom have her hands full!! But when We needed each other, we were always there for one another. Just glad we got closer the last several years! Wish we had more time!!! You will always be my big sis! And I will miss you greatly!! Love forever, your little brother!!
