Stacey Dill, 67 of Decatur IL, formerly of Havana, IL passed away on March 18, 2023 at Country Memory Care in Riverton. She was born on November 16, 1955 in Canton, IL, daughter of Buryl McGrew, and Shirley Ring. She married Steve Dill on September 2, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV, he survives.

Stacy was a alumni of the University of Illinois, Springfield, earning her Bachelor’s degree there. She had a 30 year career with SIU school of medicine as a neurology residence coordinator in Springfield. In her spare time she always enjoyed walks, gardening, traveling and her dogs/cats.

In addition to her husband, Steve, she is survived by one son, Brent Warren of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Jessica Robinson of Springfield, IL; Step-son Stuart Dill of Phoenix, AZ, and Step-Daughter; Melanie Rhoades of Broomfield, CO; 4 grandchildren, and 4 step-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at later date.

Celebrate Stacey's life with a short message, photo or video!

I will miss Stacey, she was a volunteer at the shelter I worked at for years, and she would walk dogs all afternoon. She brought so much fun and joy to them. Every year I think of Stacey since I didn't get to see her anymore after the shelter closed. She gave me some iris bulbs from her garden and they bloom every spring and I think of her, and how sweet of a human being she was. She will be missed.
