Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

I’ve known Mitch all my life. We grew up in the same neighborhood and could see each other’s houses from our backyards. He was my brother Jim’s best friend, one of the neighborhood group of guys who did everything together. When we grew up he and I shared the disco and mechanical bull days at The Limelight (aka Slimelight) and several other Decatur watering holes. He was like an extra brother who I loved to argue and laugh with. In the past few years we texted and talked on the phone quite a bit. He was planning to finally pay me a visit in Florida once I had a spare room and time to take him around Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Unfortunately, both of us got diagnoses that prevented that from happening. As Chuck said in his message about seeing him again on the other side, I sure hope heaven has some discos so we can relive our youth. Love you, Mitch! I will see you again and we’ll get a nice long visit in after all.

Deepest condolences to Kevin and family. I met Steve in high school. We were on the wrestling team, we probably goofed off more than wrestled. We had a lot of fun fishing hunting and partying, lot of partying. Got to know his dad and brother Kevin, his dad could really cook. We drifted apart after I started my family but remained friends. I was glad I got to spend some time with him his last month, coaxed some laughs out of him and he started remembering my name. I hope there's lots of fishing holes and hunting grounds on the other side, I know I'll find you there. Rest in peace my friend
