Stephen Ray Perryman, 75, passed away on March 11, 2025, in Clinton, Illinois. He was born on February 10, 1950, in Shelbyville, Illinois, and lived a life rooted in dedication and pride.

He honorably served his country in two branches of the United States Armed Forces. Stephen enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on August 26, 1969, rising to the rank of Sergeant before completing his service on October 20, 1972. He later joined the United States Army on June 5, 1974, serving until May 24, 1977. His years in uniform reflected a steadfast commitment to duty and responsibility.

Stephen was a devoted husband to Elizabeth Ann (Meyer) Perryman and a proud father to Joseph Jeffery Perryman and Samuel Kenneth Perryman. He deeply valued his family and found great joy in their presence. He also cherished his daughter-in-law Bobbi Michelle (Burkett) Perryman and took pride in his grandchildren Xavier Elias Perryman and Rose Olivia Perryman.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister Connie Patient. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ezra Perryman and Vivian Arlene Hilliard Perryman, as well as his brothers Joseph Wayne Perryman and Roger Lee Perryman.

Stephen’s life was one of service and love–devoted to both country and family. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting tribute to a life well lived.
