Steven “Easy” Easterday, 72, of Charleston, Illinois passed away on November 18, 2023, in Mattoon, IL. Steve was born on July 25, 1951 in Mattoon, IL.
Steven was an avid sports watcher. He took great joy in following his favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals, and his beloved football team, the Chicago Bears. Additionally, he had a deep passion for watching golf and cherished spending time watching his grandchildren play football, baseball, and basketball.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Patsy Easterday. Steven had four children: Amy (Eric) Scott, Rebecca Lynn Easterday, Amanda (Craig) Bisby, and Patrick (Jenna) Easterday. He found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to Rebecca (Roy) Lewallen, Mary (Landon) Huggins, Lane Bisby, Dillon Bisby, Aiden Easterday, and Beau Easterday. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Annabelle Green and Joseph Beck Huggins. Steve is survived by his two brothers David (Donna)

Easterday, along with a bunch of nieces and nephews. Steven is preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Lynn Easterday, father Joseph Easterday and mother Mary (George) Mulkey.
After graduating from Charleston, IL High School, Steven proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1972. His dedication and commitment to his military associations were a testament to his unwavering patriotism. Throughout his career, Steven worked at R.R. Donnellys and later retired from Lakeland College. His hard work and dedication were admired by colleagues and peers alike. In his leisure time, Steve enjoyed indulging in his hobbies, which included golfing, reading, and most importantly, spending quality time with his cherished family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember Steven “Easy” Easterday. His memory will forever be treasured by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
