Steven Michael Welker (33) passed away in his residence on September 15, 2023.
Steven was born to Audra (Fallert) Welker and Troy (Kathy) Welker, both of Effingham.
He is survived by brother – TJ (Chris) Welker of Clay City, sisters – Cecilia (Robert Bassard) Welker of Effingham, and Samantha Welker of Hillsboro, stepbrothers – William Zumwalt and Trenton Zumwalt, and stepsister – Christina Zumwalt.
He was an Effingham High School graduate in 2008.
Steven enjoyed bowling and spending time with friends. He also worked at Kirby (IGA) Foods.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John “Jack” (Mary Beth) Fallert, Gertrude “Trudy” (Klepzig) Fallert, and Gordon (Rita White) Welker.
Steven will be missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Watson Baptist Church, Watson, Illinois. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by a service at noon and a luncheon immediately after.
Arrangements are being handled by Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, Illinois.
