I first met Slyvia when I was 14 years old, when she became a part of my family. She was 5 years older than me, she was like a big sister to me. My mother became her Aunt Doris. She taught me about hair and make up and clothes when I was starting High School. We shared a lot of good times together and I will miss you. We will forever have a bond, through your Beautiful daughter Tammy and her children who are my cousins. I loved hearing about all their lives and the pictures you shared of your Grand Children. I loved hearing about Cortney and the Grand Dogs.

Sylvia was my good, true friend. She and Mike recently attended my sons’ wedding in July and she was like a sister to me that day. She and I had our regular lunches at different places throughout Decatur and when we met during those lunches we talked and talked for hours—about everything under the sun. Sylvia was a great friend, and great listener. I will miss miss her
