Terry Lee Munsterman, Sr., 73, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away July 28, 2025, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. He was born September 24, 1951, in Kankakee, Illinois to the late Melvin and Audrey (Dawkins-Sperry) Munsterman.

He was preceded in death by siblings Richard Munsterman and Donald Ragle. He is survived by his sister Alicia Johnson of Florida.

Terry married Chasetta Westbrook, and although they divorced, they both remained devoted to their family and stayed close.

He was a loving father to Terry (Malissa) of Decatur, Chadwick of Harristown, Lisa (Chad) of Harristown and Rachel (Kyle) of Mt Zion. He was a proud grandpa to Gage (Lauren), Brant (Katie), Emily, Alexandria, Hanna, Austin Koehler, Mason Hardy, and Grayson and Emmalyn Fulk. He was also a proud great-grandpa to Noah and Sebastian, and loving uncle to Brian Munsterman.

He will also be greatly missed by his very close companion, Rhonda Burns. Terry graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School in 1969, and was a proud member of the United States Marines. After his service, he worked in Decatur for many years before retiring in 2016. As he was not one to just sit around, he stayed busy with odd jobs, being outdoors, riding his Harley, playing poker, and being with family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 15, 2025, from 3-7pm at the Harristown Community Center, located at 185 N Kembark Street, Decatur, Illinois. Casual attire is requested.

Please, no flowers or memorials. Dad would just want his family and friends to get together and would be happy to know we are continuing with the tradition of “running the bullcrap” (a saying he always enjoyed).
