Theresa Ayala, 61, of Waverly, Illinois, passed away on Monday November 13, 2023 at her home in Waverly. Theresa fought a lengthy, but valiant battle and through it all, she never lost her spirit and humor.

Theresa was born on August 27, 1962 in Havana, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Jack Russell and Elizabeth ( Griffin ).

Theresa loved to do crafts and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She always said her grandchildren gave her peace and happiness.

Theresa is survived by her children, Shonte’ Moeller of Beardstown, Illinois; Ayeesha Fitch of Waverly, Illinois; Audrey Rooffener ( Warren ) of Springfield, Illinois. Surviving family also includes her brother Jon Russell of Jacksonville, Il; two sisters, Tara Russell of Waverly, Illinois and Chrissy Russell of Bath, Illinois. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and 21 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Percy Wubker.
