Vicki loved her family fiercely – especially her children and grandchildren, whom she often bragged about with pride and joy. Her heart was just as full when it came to her beloved fur baby, Gracie, who was a constant companion and source of comfort.
She had three siblings that preceded her in death. Gene Roberts (Late Charlene) of Champaign IL, Carol Hatmaker (Jerry) of Beavercreek Ohio, and John Roberts (Kay) of Champaign. Just as many great nieces and great nephews with whom she shared close meaningful bonds.
Over the years, Vicki wore many hats, but her heart belonged to her work as a paraprofessional in the unit 4 school district at both Garden Hills and Barkstall Elementary Schools. She had a deep love for the children she worked with and remained in touch with many of them long after they left her classroom. Her coworkers became lifelong friends, drawn in by her warmth and generosity.
Vicki retired in the spring of 2019, leaving behind an enduring legacy of compassion and dedication. Her gentle spirit and love of helping others left a lasting imprint on everyone she met.
Beyond her career and family, Vicki found joy in cooking, shopping, visiting craft shows and spending time with her girlfriends and shopping buddies. She brought light, laughter and kindness wherever she went, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
