Willa Marlynn (Marly) Hudson, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Fair Havens Senior Living in Decatur, IL.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Sunnyside Seventh-day Adventist Church, 530 N. Sunnyside Rd, Decatur, IL.

Marly was the fourth child born to William R. And Maryflorence (Dixie) Major on September 8, 1949. In her early years she attended Harristown Elementary School and finished her education at Warrensburg-Latham. She held various jobs throughout her lifetime including manager at BP, AMC, Domino’s, McDonald’s, and Huck’s. She had a beautiful singing voice and used it at church as a soloist and singing with the Major Family. She had a mad crush on Elvis and loved to dance. Above all, she loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. As her health declined in her later years, she could be seen cruising the neighborhood in her power wheelchair stopping to shop at local stores.

Marly is survived by her children: Laura (Mike) Sturm of Ozona, FL, John (Terra Roberts) Wirtz of Charleston, IL, grandchildren Tina (Nathan) Hitt of Ozona, FL, Emily Sturm of Ozona, FL, Sara (Sid) Doyle of Navarre, FL, great granddaughter Everly Jane Doyle of Navarre, FL, siblings Maxine (Steve) McGuire of Decatur, IL, Randy (Pat) Major of Princeton, KY, Marianne (Danny) Trimmer of Decatur, IL, Stephe Major of Decatur, IL, Tim Carter of Decatur, IL, sisters-in-law Connie Major of Dunnellin, FL, Sandy Major of Elwin, IL, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Terra Roberts daughters Madeline Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Jocelyn Roberts, grandchildren Vincent Kelley, Luke Steiner, Penelope Kelley, and Caroline Hammond.

Marly was preceded in death by brothers Bill Jr and Scott; nephews Ted Lowe, Ronnie Major, Rickey Major, and niece Tracy Hoffman. Marly’s parents preceded her in death.
