William L. Aubert, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on March 2, 2023 after a battle with neuroblastoma brain cancer.

There will be a private graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at North Fork Cemetery in Decatur, Illinois. A celebration of life will immediately follow the service at Everybody’s East End Grill located at Decatur Airport private round room

William (Bill) was born in Decatur, Illinois on July 2, 1970 to Les & Patty Aubert (Kinney). He attended Eisenhower High School. He played pee wee baseball at Hess Park, coached by his father, starting at just four years old where his talent exceeded his small stature. He continued his love of sports by playing baseball, soccer and basketball through Junior High School. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball & Illini basketball fan. He also enjoyed Nascar and dirt track racing.

He is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents; William and Hazel Aubert, his maternal grandmother; Marguerite Stone, paternal uncles; Larry Aubert, Frank Aubert, Don Aubert and Ron Aubert along with cousins; Philip Aubert and Shelby Clifton.

He is survived by his loving parents, children; Taylor Aubert, Kyle Aubert and Kolton Beckett, grandchildren; Alayna, Isaiah, Freya and Fallon, siblings; Shannon (Mark) Tullis and Michael (Dyan) Aubert; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Bill had unconditional love beyond measure and will be greatly missed by his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family or Decatur Memorial Hospice.
