So sorry to hear of your loss There are times when the right words just don't exist ...... times when feelings are too deep to be expressed. At this sad time may it bring you some peace and comfort to know that caring thoughts and prayers are with you, your family & friends I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. God bless you all

Mom oh mom idk where to start with this message to you. When you told me you felt your time was near I told you don't talk like that. Stay strong and hold your head high like you always have you are a tough woman that's been through a lot. But when I learned from the doctor that your thoughts were true it took away a major part of me. When you passed I told you wait for me I would be there that morning at 7:30 with you not knowing me, Mesha and Tiff were right by your side as you took your last breath at 7:23. Let me tell you it was so beautiful to see you go peacefully like you wanted to. I hope you are reunited with uncle Denny and Kristle as you wished and you can rest peacefully. I will never forget you whispered I love you Matty always and forever. Well until we meet again mom and best believe I do love you always and forever.

Love was my mom making sure I had everything, even when she had nothing. I once believed that love was easy to recognize — spoken in gentle tones, wrapped in warm embraces, and expressed through tender words. To me, it was something visible & soft, always kind, always reassuring. But love doesn’t always introduce itself that way. Sometimes, it hides in the background — in the sound of kitchen pans before sunrise, in the careful folding of school clothes late at night, or in the heavy footsteps of someone who works long hours & never complains. Growing up, I thought love had to look a certain way. I believed it should be gentle, affectionate, loud with affirmations & soft with touch. I expected my mother to be like the others — the “typical” kind of mom everyone seemed to want: warm, expressive, endlessly doting. But she wasn’t like that. She had her own language of love — quiet, firm, and often misunderstood. She was strict. Too strict, I used to think. Her rules felt suffocating. Her discipline, confusing. I didn’t understand her measures, and many times, I questioned if she even loved me. I mistook her silence for indifference, her high standards for coldness. I thought she was being hard on me, without realizing she was being harder on herself. But love comes in different ways. And her love, though not always soft, was steady. It was in the way she stayed up late to make sure I was okay. In the mornings she rose before sunrise to prepare food I didn’t even ask for. In the quiet way she made sure I had everything, even when she had nothing left for herself. She didn’t have a guidebook. She was learning how to be a mother while still learning how to be a woman. She was surviving, stretching, sacrificing — every single day. And while I longed for a gentler kind of love, I missed the strength it took to love me the way she did. For so long, I focused only on how strict she was. I didn’t see the other side of her — the one who was actually funny, lighthearted, and playful in ways I didn’t fully appreciate at the time. She would tease me when I least expected it, make jokes that caught me off guard, and remember the tiniest things that made me smile. That side of her was always there. But I was too caught up in what I thought love should look like, that I didn’t recognize it when it was already in front of me. I carried resentment. I admit that. I wanted her to see me, to hear me, to hold me. I didn’t realize she was doing all of that already — just not in the way I expected. Not in the way I thought love should look like. It’s easy to forget that it’s their first time living, too. Mom, if I could give you back your time, your dreams, your rest — I would. I would trade my life if it meant you could live yours freely, without the weight you carried for me. And if I could go back, I’d open my eyes earlier to the fullness of who you are — not just a mother, but a whole woman. One with laughter, lightness, and a heart that’s been quietly loving me all along. You loved me all along. I’m sorry for not understanding it sooner. I’m sorry for being such a handful at times. I miss you, and I love you. - Danielle ❤️

Mom, What a brave, complicated, beautiful soul you were. In your final days, I saw grace rise through pain, and I felt love that outshone the past. You taught me strength—not in loud declarations, but in quiet, vulnerable moments. I’ll carry that with me always. Though our road together was not always smooth, I am grateful for the light we found in the end. You helped me become the kind of mother I hope you'd be proud of—a cycle breaker, a legacy builder, someone learning every day how to love better. Rest now, knowing you mattered. You were seen. You are loved. Me and the girls miss you so much already. Watch over us. Until we meet again. I love you. -Tiff, Liyah, Nat, and Jayla
